I have an exciting cardiovascular startup in Menlo Park that's looking for a Staff to Principal R&D Engineer to work on next-generation devices. 35-person company with flagship device close to starting FIH trial and IDE study later this fall.
Ideal Candidate:
BS or MS Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
7-10+ years medical device experience with Catheter-based devices
Hands-on engineer with strong design, prototype, materials & process capabilities.
Need strong CAD skills (SolidWorks)
Will also serve as Technical Leader and mentor to other Junior and Senior Eng's.
Startup experience is helpful, or a mix of startup & large company would be good.
The company just raised $35MM in Series A Funding; and has a good team of R&D Engineers (2 Principals, 1 Staff, 3 Seniors, and another handful of Eng II's).
Technology: Steerable Catheter-based interventional devices for Cardiovascular Applications.
Will be making improvements to existing system; and also design/development of next-gen applications using similar technology.
