Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Birmingham, AL metro area

Salary: $50-55,000 + benefits

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and timely analytical, biological, and performance testing on a diverse range of samples.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure the highest level of performance and accuracy.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to teams and project leads.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support ongoing research projects and contribute to the development of new testing methodologies.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment by adhering to good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Continuously seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and stay current with industry advancements.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on analytical, biological, or performance testing.
  • A bachelor's degree in biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required; relevant experience or an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze, compile, organize, and present data.
  • Proficiency in standard laboratory software and computer applications.
  • A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of safety, quality, and ethical standards.
