A national food manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a Senior EHS Manager with strong knowledge of DOT and background in transportation/distribution industries. The Senior EHS Manager will have one direct report, and together, will be responsible for leading EHS programs in the Mountain region. Based in Salt Lake City, the Senior EHS Manager will be expected to travel regularly, engaging with various levels of the organization and providing support to all locations in the region.
The Role:
Support multiple locations in the region in a complex regulatory framework.
Improve and ensure the effective execution of safety and environmental management processes following established regulations, policies, standards and best practices.
Execute, measure, and monitor process to assess the overall safety and environmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Educate, train, and provide support to operations in the development and execution of consistent safety and environmental management programs.
The Candidate:
8+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or transportation setting
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related field
Experience in developing and implementing corporate-level EHS programs, particularly relating to transportation and DOT compliance.
