Acara Solutions is seeking a EPU Test manager to work with our partner located in Plattsburgh , NY who specializes in transportation systems manufacturing.
Pay Rate: $45/hr to $55/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Responsibilities:
Define and update the function procedures, way of working and methodologies, according to the guideline defined by central PME.
Ensure the staffing of the team according to the projects firm and forecasted workload.
Build induction and training program for the new comers. Maintain the skills matrix of his team and build the annual training plan.
Deploy industrialization standards: Method Time, EHS, Ergonomics, Work Instructions. Deploy industrialization methodologies: ICONE, P-FMEA, Control Plan, QRQC, Task Sequencing.
Deploy IS tools foEnsure that test technicians have clear and exhaustive understanding of the Acceptance Criteria.
Ensure the test are carried out according to the Testing procedure and the result properly recorded.
Implement and deploy methods and tools and best practices defined by APSYS.
Regularly consolidate and communicate on the project KPI's. Manage Interface and perfect working relationship with: PrTCM (Project T&C Manager), SSM SSM (Sub-System Manager), TVE, PIM, Industrial Quality, Production Line Manager, Manufacturing EPU Manager, PrWM, PrQSM to achieve the testing KPI's.
Cascade the information to Testing Teams. Manages disputes and day to day issues of his team.
Manage competencies matrix and development plan for his test engineers or technicians.
Ensures T&C activities and operating areas comply with Site EHS requirements. Reports Deviations, Near-misses and Accidents. Demonstrates excellent EHS behavior r industrialization: PLM (DELMIA), ERP (GSI), MES.
Increase maturity of the team using APSYS roadmap. Support product / project industrialization: In coordination with the PIM, follow the progress of industrial deliverables.
Support the team while performing industrialization activities (ex.: P-FMEA, internal FAI...) Ensure Method Time is well calculated.
Ensure Master data are accurate and at the good quality level Ensure good quality of the deliverables: WI, Task Sequencing ... Ensure ergonomics and EHS rules are well taken into account.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Testing & Commissioning of Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation.
Have a good understanding of key electrical and/or mechanical processes (in particular earthing & bonding, cabling, protection and instrumentation,
