What you will be doing:
The CAD Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our CAD systems, including software, hardware, and associated processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in CAD systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain CAD software installations, licenses, and updates.
Configure CAD software settings and templates to optimize performance and ensure consistency.
Troubleshoot and resolve CAD software and hardware issues.
Develop and implement CAD data management procedures and best practices.
Manage CAD file storage, organization, and version control.
Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place and followed.
Provide technical support and training to CAD users.
Assist users with CAD software functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Develop and deliver CAD training materials and documentation.
Collaborate with design teams to understand their workflow requirements and optimize CAD systems accordingly.
Integrate CAD systems with other design and engineering tools as needed.
Work closely with IT and engineering teams to ensure CAD systems align with overall technology strategy.
Monitor CAD system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement system optimizations and upgrades to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Stay current with CAD technology trends and advancements.

Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Strong understanding of CAD data management principles and practices.

Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a CAD Administrator or similar role.
Experience with CAD customization and scripting.
Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering techniques.
