We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician/CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in using Civil 3D for preparing engineering drawings and a thorough understanding of engineering principles within the field of commercial or land development, TxDOT, and roadway projects. You will work independently and collaboratively to provide technical drafting support, ensuring the accuracy and quality of our design outputs.
General Responsibilities:
Drafting and Design:
Utilize Civil 3D to prepare detailed engineering drawings, including standard arrangements and layouts.
Create and modify maps and plan and profile sheets for various engineering projects.
Produce CAD file exhibits and complete redline markups based on sketches, verbal instructions, and engineering notes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other designers, drafters, and engineers to ensure coordinated and integrated designs.
Communicate effectively to provide and receive feedback on project progress and requirements.
Project Management:
Establish and maintain project schedules, providing regular progress reports.
Adapt to changes in project assignments and priorities as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest design and drafting procedures and standards in the field.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
Other Duties:
Perform other assigned tasks as required to support project goals and team needs.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a professional setting.
Strong technical knowledge of CAD operations and principles within commercial or land development, TxDOT, and roadway projects.
Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with coworkers and project stakeholders.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in work assignments and project needs.
Required Education/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical school training in computer-aided drafting or equivalent professional experience.
