Job Description:
  • Join our team in Spartanburg, SC as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer where you will play a vital role in designing and testing functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for performing engineering analysis, designing or re-designing components, and providing integration and execution support for vehicle and component design projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned tasks according to client and industry engineering standards and processes.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
  • Manage projects of limited complexity and may handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources regarding technical issues.
  • Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Direct the preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
  • Conduct engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials.
  • Provide technical assistance for production support and resolve engineering issues reported via verbal or written communication.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
  • Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
  • Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience.

Standout Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
