Join our team in Spartanburg, SC as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer where you will play a vital role in designing and testing functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing engineering analysis, designing or re-designing components, and providing integration and execution support for vehicle and component design projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned tasks according to client and industry engineering standards and processes.
Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
Manage projects of limited complexity and may handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers as needed.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources regarding technical issues.
Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
Direct the preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
Conduct engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials.
Provide technical assistance for production support and resolve engineering issues reported via verbal or written communication.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
Minimum Qualifications:
bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Three (3) or more years of related experience.
Standout Qualifications:
bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
