Position Summary

Head of Wealth & Tax Planning will offer strategic support to advisors catering to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. This role involves developing strategies for comprehensive and estate planning, providing practice coaching, assisting with transitions, and delivering client presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Consultations: Engage with financial advisors on new sales opportunities by conducting detailed needs analyses, evaluating account statements and performance reports, determining risk tolerance, identifying estate and trust planning needs, and understanding long-term asset goals.
  • Technical Planning Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge in complex financial, estate, philanthropic, tax, and business planning. Familiarity with eMoney and Holistiplan is preferred.
  • Training and Education: Educate advisors on client needs, practice management, firm positioning, and portfolio construction. Ability to explain market and economic impacts and technical investment characteristics is essential.
  • Transition Support: Assist advisors transitioning into the company
  • Marketing: Develop marketing materials that highlight the value proposition of the High Net Worth team. This includes writing articles, creating brochures, and designing client-facing materials.
  • Opportunity Tracking and Reporting: Manage the opportunity-tracking database and generate various sales reports.

Qualifications

  • Certifications: CFP, JD, or LLM.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Over 10 years of experience in advisory and fee-based platforms, advanced financial and estate planning, and institutional client services.
  • Licenses: Series 7 and 65 or 66 (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).
  • Travel: Up to 40% travel to regional, national, and advisor events/offices for consultation support and training.
