This role is responsible for Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality functions of the organization. Develop and implement a manufacturing plan which supports sales forecast and reflects solid understanding of present and future outlook based on identification of key issues and viable strategies.
Define, establish, and implement programs/action plans to achieve growth while maintaining return on sales, profitability, and return on investment objectives.
Lead the evaluation of manufacturing processes in the Houston facility and establish those internal processes throughout the Company that represent best practices. Implement automation process and procedures to keep up with the technological evolution occurring.
Plan business objectives in conjunction with the senior management team to develop organizational policies, coordinate functions and operations between divisions and departments, and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
Establish criteria to measure operations and regularly and systematically appraise and evaluate results against approved standards.
Work with the commercial team to establish strategies to extend market opportunities and, when appropriate, participate in customer development.
Supports and partners with the Technical Team for implementation pf automation and IOT.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, an MBA is a plus.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in increasingly responsible positions in manufacturing management within the upstream, midstream or downstream sectors.
Knowledge of current programs such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, The Shingo Price and others used to achieve operating excellence.
Solid understanding of new technology, especially, Smart Manufacturing methods, digital solutions and IOT applied to elastomer and plastic industrial processing.
Experience with ERP and MRP systems and understanding of the financial information required to properly measure the effectiveness of a business.
