Program, design, implement, and directly supervise adult softball leagues, programs, and tournaments. Recruit teams and participants; develop schedules, monitor league formation, ensure proper registration and rosters, and perform disciplinary action if necessary. Work to build relationships with umpires, Sportsplex USA staff, participants, and other sports entities. Schedule and supervise all softball staff. Be on call for all emergencies relating to staff or participants. Assist Sportsplex USA in all league-related activities and tasks.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of two years of management / supervisory experience
Minimum of two years softball/baseball experience either as player, official or league / tournament coordinator
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite with expectation of becoming proficient with Sportsplex USA league management software platform.
HOURLY SCHEDULE:
Various Hours (depending upon league start dates) totaling 40+ Hours per week.
Work schedule will be primarily afternoon through evening supervising league activity (3pm to close) and occasional weekend times based on scheduled events.
Although the work schedule is primarily 3pm-11pm Sun-Thu, it does vary based upon needs.
SALARY GRADE:
Softball Director would be a salaried position receiving a bi-monthly base plus a semi-annual commission bonus based upon league registration.
Salary and commission bonus to be negotiated.
