Job Summary: My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Process Simulations Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing cutting-edge products and systems in the clean technology sector. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in engineering and process simulations to transform product concepts into scalable, manufacturable realities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with product development, commercial, R&D, and engineering teams to comprehend new product designs and technical specifications.
  • Optimize cell and stack design by performing process simulations using process simulation tools such as Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus.
  • Use data-driven analysis to evaluate product architectures, assessing feasibility and integration challenges, and devise robust solutions.
  • Conduct complex data analyses and architectural modeling using tools like RISK, Python, R, or MATLAB to forecast performance and optimize system designs.
  • Oversee pilot projects and scaling efforts from an architectural standpoint, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation for products, including system blueprints, integration flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights, leading to actionable improvements in product design and system processes.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in architectural methods, data analytics tools, and technologies within the industry.
  • Foster strong collaboration across teams, including research & development, operations, and quality assurance, ensuring data and architectural insights inform decision-making processes.
  • Stay current with new technologies and equipment relevant to product development.
  • Lead a small team of simulation engineers

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in process simulations and product development, preferably in the clean technology industry.
  • Proficiency in Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus, COMSOL Multiphysics, and data analysis tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
