Responsibilities •The Director of Development reports to the Executive Director and fulfills a critical leadership position, establishing and sustaining a culture of generosity among client's wide and varied constituencies •The Director will articulate a compelling case for support of client, which will be the basis for the Center's communication with current and prospective donors, as well as its wider community •Collaborating with the Executive Director and the Board Development Committee, they will shape and guide fulfillment of strategies for all fundraising and planned giving •The Director is responsible for all necessary components of dynamic development program, including but not limited to an annual giving campaign; major gift prospecting, stewardship and fundraising; planned giving; special events and any other programs necessary for raising funds for the organization •Their responsibilities include leading and overseeing all fundraising administration including financial reporting and analysis, systems, and compliance •The Director will be the main interface with the Board Development Committee and will work closely with the Board Chair, the Development Committee Chair and the Executive Director to ensure a successful development program based on measurable dollars raised •The Director supervises the Senior Associate Director of Development, as well as a grant writer and a data entry professional
