Overview:

A top 200 ranked ENR environmental remediation company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental remediation, construction management, and safety protocols. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support construction teams, subcontractors, and other project personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Quality Control: Oversee quality control measures to ensure that all work meets company standards and client specifications. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and manage resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, project managers, and team members. Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns or changes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and any necessary regulatory or compliance documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle. Implement proactive measures to prevent potential delays or problems.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on environmental remediation projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in project management software and construction-related technologies.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as required. These will be across NorCal.
