Position Overview:
The Post-Closer/Servicer will be responsible for managing the post-closing process and servicing loans in our lending portfolio. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of the lending industry, and the ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in loan servicing, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Closing Duties:
Review and verify all closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure all post-closing conditions are met and documented.
Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, and other parties to resolve any post-closing issues.
File and upload collateral packages to respective counterparties.
Coordinate with internal accounting teams to facilitate front-end reconciliation.
Loan Servicing:
Manage expedient onboarding/offboarding and record keeping of all loans in line with our respective capital parties requirements.
Reconcile short interest, first payment, and intermediate impounds with interim servicer.
Prepare month end escrow reports to third party administrators and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and submit regular reports on loan performance and servicing metrics.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in loan servicing.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, investors, and other stakeholders.
Resolve borrower inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Facilitate ongoing draw requests for ongoing bridge loans.
Coordinate with borrowers to provide pay-off statements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate lending industry, specifically in post-closing and loan servicing roles.
Proven track record of managing a loan portfolio with high efficiency and accuracy.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Non-QM Investment lending practices and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in loan servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
