Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Small Business Controller with QuickBooks experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of our company to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations, making sure that all financial transactions are efficient and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, budgets, and actual expenditures.
  3. Coordinate all audit activities and liaise with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  4. Implement and manage financial planning, systems, and controls for the organization.
  5. Monitor the financial performance of the company, compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
  6. Ensure the budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed regularly.
  7. Ensure accuracy in General Ledger and manage monthly financial close functions.
  8. Monitor cash balances, forecast cash requirements, and administer line of credit.
  9. Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  10. Utilize QuickBooks to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts, etc.
  11. Using QuickBooks, provide training, troubleshooting, upgrade assistance to other financial staff or users.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in a small business setting.
  4. Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
  5. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks.
  9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
