ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This remote, full-time role involves close collaboration with leadership and the Board of Directors to implement financial strategies and maintain internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and brokerage accounts.
Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Support grant budget creation, reporting, and monitoring.
Oversee the deferred revenue schedule.
Develop financial strategies and conduct account reconciliations.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Support the annual audit process.
Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in management.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, bill.com, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
