Job Description:

 

Office of the Borough Clerk (Full-Time Clerk Position)

 

Seeking an applicant who possess the skills to work in a busy, fast paced environment. Municipal Government experience a plus, but not required. Must be able to work as a team and function independently. The desired applicant should be able to multitask, communicate well verbally, and in written form. Must be able to provide exceptional customer service with the public. Microsoft Excel and Word experience mandatory. Working knowledge of Spatial Data Logics (SDL) preferred but not required. Must be willing to obtain notary and other job related licenses. Thirty-five (35) hours per week with work hours from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with marriage licenses
  • Assist with scheduling marriages for the Mayor to perform
  • Assist with animal licensing
  • Assist with handling OPRA Requests
  • Sorting and distributing mail
  • Answering and transferring telephone calls
  • Work elections (Primary, General, and any Special Elections)
  • Other duties as assigned
