Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring for a Cash Application Specialist in Woburn, MA.



The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for daily posting of customer payments, including making customer service calls to research unidentifiable remittance information. The Cash Application Specialist will also work closely with our Collectors, Regional Representatives, and Customers to reduce unapplied payments and to reapply them to the customers' accounts.

  • Daily processing (coding and entering) of customer payments in Oracle.
  • Assist Collections' teams in researching unapplied cash and customer pay histories in CMS and Oracle.
  • Complete all Cash Transfer Requests as initiated by the Collections' teams.
  • Customer Service Calls-make inquiries into unidentifiable payments; respond to customer inquiries/requests for internal and external customers
  • General Clerical-researching, filing, photocopying
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining customer data in Excel
  • Any and all Accounts Receivable tasks related to the operations of this Department


This is a full time opportunity.


The ideal candidate will have:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or other relevant fields.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent data-entry and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with MS Office and Oracle.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and strong basic math skills.



Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour


*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
