Job Description:

The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a motivated individual to join our Children and Family Services Finance Team and fill the role of Office Specialist on the Letter of Agreement (LOA) Contract Generation Team.


•This position is responsible for creating unique contracts for Child Welfare youth across the State of Nebraska.


•This team is highly specialized and require knowledge about Medicaid rules/regulations concerning billing practices, Child Welfare billing practices, and contract language.


•This individual is expected to meet with Child Welfare case workers, billing teammates, and external Child Welfare providers on a daily basis to create LOAs for youth placement and other type of services as directed by management or teammates.


Hiring Wage: $16.277 per hour - non-exempt


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Dress Attire: Business Casual



Requirements / Qualifications:




Minimum Qualifications:Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. ORExperience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.



Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, social/behavioral sciences or related field. ORAssociates degree in accounting, finance, statistics, business administration, social/behavioral sciences or related field and two years' experience with contract and finance procedures. If a candidate does not have any degree, than a candidate must have 4 years of prior work experience.



The successful candidate will:




Have knowledge of contract language, Medicaid and Child Welfare contract practices, and state and federal laws/regulations.



Have the ability to evaluate proposals, interpret needs of youth, and complete contracts in a timely manner.



Also need to develop and maintain effective relationships with teammates and providers.



Be able to manage time and workflow of oneself to meet deadlines.
