Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of products and services for Mitchell’s customers. This position guides and manages cross-functional teams – internally and externally – to deliver defined business requirements on time and with quality. The Program Manager plans, organizes, monitors and controls multiple projects at a time, coordinating customer, vendor and internal resource involvement through the life of the project, including:

Project Initiation:

  • Review and refine project scope
  • Establish the cross-functional project team
  • Conduct internal and external kick-off meetings
  • Establish project management standards and guidelines for the project

Project Planning:

  • Create a schedule outlining the sequence of activities and tasks on the project
  • Define all quality assurance and quality control procedures
  • Produce a risk management plan to identify and mitigate likely project risks
  • Document the customer acceptance criteria for each project deliverable
  • Establish communications plan for the project

Project Execution:

  • Maintain the project plan to keep those involved informed of progress against the schedule
  • Ensure adequate quality assurance and quality control techniques are undertaken to meet the quality targets specified
  • Manage project changes
  • Manage project risks and mitigation plans
  • Coordinate the resolution of project issues
  • Gain customer acceptance of each deliverable produced by the project
  • Undertake communication processes as specified in the Communications Plan, including project status reporting

Project Closing:

  • Conduct formal project closing activities internally and externally, including Post Implementation Review


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-7 years recent experience as a customer facing Program / Project Manager utilizing a formal Project Management methodology is required
  • Managing multiple projects at a time is required.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal departments, vendors and customers is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and leadership in managing internal and external teams through the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills in evaluating information to achieve and address solutions for successful outcomes.
  • Ability to demonstrate negotiation skills to achieve successful outcomes on projects is required.
  • Experience working with SalesForce, SharePoint and MS Project is desired.
  • Previous experience in working in a SaaS environment is desired.
  • Senior level Program Managers may be required to lead and mentor junior level Program Managers.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $98,740 - $110,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
