Network Design Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this job you will support the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You will be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.
Responsibilities:
Design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Use your extensive network knowledge, coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoot problems with department users and network administrators.
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc.
Develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies
Display initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projects with little direction
Exercise Judgment selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field
Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Perform technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design
Provide analysis for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in engineering, related area or field (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
Subject matter expert in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
A seasoned, experienced professional having a wide range of professional experience and possessing a very strong understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories and expert at applying technical standards and methodologies to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires In-depth evaluation of variable factors
Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
