Contract Position
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
2-3 years of experience in valve and or mechanical+fluids component design
Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components (i.e. valves, regulators and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other fluids)
Experience designing parts in CREO
Ability to apply GD&T to create manufacturable, high performing component drawings
Experience using design analysis tools such as ANSYS and Thermal Desktop to evaluate the performance of your designs
Ability to define and support testing of your design, conduct data analysis and iterate your design
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
Advanced Engineering degree
Experience with static and non-linear FEA analysis (ANSYS)
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance
