This is a full time, live on campus position. The work is focused on administrative support for Student Engagement, and administrative and on-call support for Housing and Residence Life.
Summary of Student Life :
The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) and encompasses several student-facing entities within the Division of Student Affairs that provide co/extra-curricular programming and outreach services for students; Student Activities & the Campus Activities Board, Student Leadership, New Student Orientation, Torch First-Gen Student Success Program, and Spirituality & Service. These programs directly support students and provide social, developmental, and campus engagement opportunities for the student community. As such, this work necessitates strategic partnerships within the Division and key campus constituents.
Within OSE, Spiritual and Religious Life (formerly Campus Ministry'') provides the link between the institution's heritage, mission/values, and the developing faith and spiritual needs of our student community. The programs, and services developed and implemented should align with, and promote, the Dominican values of study, service, community, and reflection. There is a small and engaged group of students that supports much of the programming and activities.
Summary of Housing and Residence Life
The Department of Housing and Residence Life fosters an inclusive and engaging environment for all students. We offer housing for 500 students in three on-campus residences, including Edgehill Village, Fanjeaux Hall, and Pennafort Hall, plus one off-campus residence, the Dominican Townhomes. The Dominican Experience goes way beyond what happens in the classroom. A major component of students' learning and development also takes place in campus residence halls, so with this in mind, the Department of Housing and Residence Life provides co-curricular opportunities for education and reflection through weekly programming, hall activities and one-on-one sessions with resident advisors.
