Qualifications* you will bring to the table:

  • Education: A bachelors or masters degree preferably in Architecture, Construction Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 10+ years job-related work experience with demonstrated competence.
  • Licenses and certifications: Current architect license/registration or PM certification.
  • Software: Working knowledge of Revit, Project Management Software, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, Outlook.
  • Core knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the industry, strong design skills, client relations, problem-solving skills, ability to learn and adapt.
  • High level of collaboration and communication with other team members.
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction practices.

As a Team Member at Cushing Terrell, you will*

  • Prepares fee proposals and add fee services, develops and negotiates contracts.
  • Collaborates with design leaders and other disciplines to produce project budgets.
  • Ensures project profitability
  • Coordinates Cushing Terrells project billing with the clients accounting procedures, aligning with the clients needs, in both timing and format.
  • Provides expert knowledge of project processes and delivers seamless communication to teams.
  • Identifies and brings awareness to the client of possible services Cushing Terrell can provide.
  • Plans, coordinates, and ensures the project schedule.
  • Takes responsibility for overall process including management of budget, scope, and timing, as well as communication with the entire design team.
  • Regularly assesses the clients goals and ensures the team executes the project to match that vision.
  • Collaborates closely with design leaders and teams.
  • Strategically allocating team effort, utilizing resources, and reorganizing resources when necessary.
  • Plans, communicates, and executes project deliverables and milestones with the team.
  • Delivers holistic design decisions utilizing the appropriate team members early in the process.
  • Schedules regular Project reviews with Principal in Charge
  • Manages the QA/QC process through inception and completion including quality management investigating, research, and follow-up.
  • Manages project closeout as well as project review and lessons learned.
  • May have supervisory responsibilities including training, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Carries out these supervisor responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Develops external and internal client relationships.
  • Identifies and develops market opportunities.

*The majority of the time a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. On occasion, individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.

Your pay

The salary for this position is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.

  • Expected Range*: $80,000 to $120,000 annually
  • The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus

*The actual salary offered for the role will be determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to; years of experience, licensure status, location, level of job-related knowledge, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law).
