Collateral Documentation Management:
Assist in the organization, sorting, and maintenance of collateral documents related to mortgage loans.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all collateral files.
Create and maintain electronic and physical files for easy retrieval and reference.
Perform quality control checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of collateral documents.
Document Indexing and Tracking:
Accurately index and categorize mortgage documents using established systems.
Utilize document management software to track and monitor the status and location of collateral files.
Retrieve and deliver collateral files as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality and data security protocols when handling sensitive borrower information.
Collateral Exception Resolution:
Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriters and loan officers, to resolve collateral-related exceptions or discrepancies.
Investigate and research missing or incomplete documents and follow up to obtain the required information.
Communicate with external vendors, title companies, and government agencies to obtain necessary collateral documentation.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Assist in conducting periodic audits to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to collateral documentation promptly.
Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
