SISKIYOU COUNTY HIRING SOCIAL WORKERS FOR CHILD WELFARE SERVICES
The County of Siskiyou is hiring Social Workers to support our Child Welfare Services unit. Experienced Social Workers (III and IV) will handle advanced and intensive case management services. New Social Workers who have the minimum qualifications, as stated in the job ad, are encouraged to apply for Social Worker I/II positions and will receive on the job training. All positions require an in-depth understanding of family dynamics, mental health issues, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Ideal candidates possess initiative, determination, rigorous case management skills, and a passion for seeing families and children receive the services they need to remain healthy and, hopefully, intact.
Social Workers may be assigned to a specific geographic or functional area such as court investigations, family maintenance/reunification, emergency response, child/adult protection, foster care, or employment services cases. All Social Workers assigned to Child Welfare Services receive premium pay of 5% of their base rate of pay.
