Job Description:

The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, providing technical support for manufacturing and welding processes, creating and managing quality documentation, and analyzing and implementing effective solutions for customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and summarize data to prepare reports and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Customer Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints using process investigations and problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis, 5 Whys, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Internal Audits: Coordinate and conduct internal process and product audits.
  • Scrap Analysis: Perform scrap analysis to drive quality improvements and cost reductions.
  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor daily PPMs and implement corrective actions to ensure KPIs remain within target levels.
  • Welding Process Analysis: Analyze spot weld and MIG weld processes to facilitate decision-making and process enhancements.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor corrective actions and problem-solving efforts from suppliers, maintaining supplier performance metrics.
  • Quality Training: Support training initiatives for all quality-related procedures and methods.
  • Equipment Calibration: Oversee the calibration and monitoring of measuring equipment.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in PFMEA and Quality Control plans.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings, as well as engineering specifications; familiarity with control charts, CPK, and PPK.
  • Tools Experience: Hands-on experience with measurement tools.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently within a team.
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to support the night shift as needed.
  • Computer Skills: Basic to advanced computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with TS16949 standards.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Toyota QIMS.
  • Certifications: Certified Engineer or Auditor credentials are advantageous but not required.
