We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee the activation of a rig in Pascagoula, MS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical IT expertise, project management capabilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the activation of a rig, ensuring all technical aspects are implemented according to specifications and blueprints
Utilize technical IT skills to build racks, plan cable routes, and identify appropriate junctions for cabling
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of technical requirements.
Manage the permitting process, including filling out necessary paperwork and obtaining required permits to initiate work
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the activation process
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement effective mitigation strategies
Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including project plans, progress reports, and technical specifications
Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management, regarding project status, milestones, and deliverables
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Engineering) or equivalent experience
Proven experience in technical project management, preferably in the field of IT infrastructure activation or rig activation
Strong technical IT skills, including the ability to build racks, plan cable routes, and interpret technical blueprints
Knowledge of permit processes and experience obtaining permits for construction or activation projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations
Willingness to travel to Pascagoula, MS, and work on-site for the duration of the project
Note: This is a temporary position with a duration of 2-3 months, based in Pascagoula, MS. Candidates must be willing to relocate or travel to the project site for the duration of the assignment
