Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to this ISO certified manufacturer of components for OEM's across the world. Production is done on cutting edge equipment with a focus on reputation, quality and customer service for this established and growing organization.

Position

Reporting to the CEO and partnering with a fractional CFO, this Controller will play a critical role in leading all day-to-day financial operations related to the budget and related expenditures. As a member of the senior leadership team, this role will be an advisor to the accounting team with direct reports. You will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, including cash flow management and planning, drilling down profitability by lines of the business, audit management, FP&A, and corporate budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As a true business partner to the CFO and divisional leaders, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the long-term strategy. Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CFO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Engage executives with trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational delivery. Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas.
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the strategic plan.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of a BS; MBA preferred; a CPA would be a plus.
  • 5+ years experience in accounting with a manufacturing company
  • Demonstrable passion for a hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Continuous improvement, process improvement, and LEAN methodologies experience
  • Deep understanding of and experience of corporate budgeting
  • An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
