FirstPro is now accepting resumes for an IT Senior Project Manager position based in Boston, MA. This role will focus on end to end project management for IT projects with a financial institution, from initial scoping, scheduling and budgeting to implementation, post-project support and stakeholder management. This is a contract position that has the potential to convert into a permanent role.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects
Collaborate with business groups to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate development activities with IT, managing project execution.
Plan schedules and manpower with Software Engineering.
Manage information flow, schedules, and deliverables with vendors and subcontractors.
Create project schedules, task estimates, specifications, test plans, and documentation.
Provide regular project updates to the stakeholders.
Requirements
At least 8 years in IT Project Management within a financial institution.
Strong IT resource planning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven project management skills for large projects.
Ability to manage costs within a budget.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project Management and other project management tools like Jira, Confluence and misc.
