Compensation: $300k OTE

Job Description:

The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of our data center infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure of the company's data centers.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other critical infrastructure components.
  • Monitor and optimize data center performance, capacity, and efficiency.

Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard data center assets and protect against cybersecurity threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations relevant to data center operations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Conduct regular testing and simulations to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery strategies.

Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers involved in data center operations, including hardware/software vendors, colocation facilities, and cloud service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.

Capacity Planning and Scalability:
  • Collaborate with IT teams to forecast future capacity requirements and plan for scalability to support the company's growth.
  • Recommend infrastructure upgrades and expansions as needed to meet evolving business needs.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Generate regular reports on data center performance, uptime, and security compliance for management review.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data center management, preferably in a high-availability environment.
  • Strong knowledge of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards relevant to data center operations.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
