Position Overview:


The Distribution Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for shrink control and safety compliance in the Distribution Center through proper investigation and training. This position manages the worker's compensation incidents along with providing safety training for all new hires. In addition, the position is responsible to provide feedback, guidance and protection for our Distribution Center Associates.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Investigate reports of asset losses, injuries, or harassment to determine proper facts and execute proper disciplinary actions.

  • Audit/Monitoring Shipping and Receiving procedures to ensure the security and integrity of store deliveries.

  • Conduct physical security checks to minimize asset loss and maintain CCTV and alarm systems.

  • Train new associates in the areas of Loss Prevention, Safety, and OSHA Compliance

  • Insure proper seal procedure and trailer lock procedures are in place and being adhered to.

  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the distribution center through the completion of audits focused on the individual departments.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining programs to insure the physical protection and well-being of all distribution center employees while complying with all local, state, and federal regulations

  • Ensure that all safety violations are reported and investigated timely.

  • Conduct safety inspections and follow up with correction of safety issues with stores to ensure safe work environments.

  • Oversee guards to ensure coverage is provided and business is uninterrupted.

  • Monitor and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of three years of experience in asset protection in a retail service-oriented business, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions.

  • Wicklander and Zulawski Certified

  • Ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills

Physical Requirements:


  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.

  • Duties frequently involve repetitive motions of typing, filling envelopes and filing.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.

  • Infrequent travel may be required.

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
