Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Performs clerical duties related to the lending function.

  • Professionally answer phone calls, attend to customer needs, and take messages for loan staff.

  • Greet all customers in a professional manner.

  • Work with loan officers to maintain loan files through all phases of the lending process.

  • Input loan applications in lending software.

  • Order insurance, title commitments, and other items pertinent to the loan process as required by the loan officer for file processing.

  • Work with loan processors on items needed for loan files.

  • Follow all rules and guidelines of the Security and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) and be registered with the NMLS. Annual renewal of registration is required. 

  • To perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Process loan payoffs and payments as appropriate.

Qualifications Required

High school diploma or equivalent, and a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Office programs is required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner or other basic business equipment.  Some travel is required for facilitating sales calls and meeting with customers.  The job is within the normal office environment range.

Qualifications Preferred

Associates degree, proficiency in Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Programs and basic banking or lending knowledge.
