This role assists in support and maintenance of network information technologies (i.e. installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and enhancing hardware or software) while providing technical assistance and excellent support to anyone using our network, including remote jobsite locations.  We are seeking a Tier 1 Intermediate to Tier 2 knowledge level. This position is hybrid and generally works weekdays, day shift.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fix, maintain, troubleshoot, install computer systems, printers, phones, servers, networking hardware and all other IT related equipment to include conference room systems.


• Accept and solve 1st tier and some 2nd tier support issues.


• Manage the help desk ticketing system and ensure quality input ticketing information and documentation.


• Collaborate with Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure efficient operation of the company’s infrastructure for customers.


• Exercise good judgment and critical thinking in analysis of problems to determine proper level of maintenance required to solve problems.


• Work directly with customers to provide top tier service and help to resolve computer concerns.


• Proactively provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems, including conference room technical support as needed.


• Provide individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of equipment and software, and on network features.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field OR 2-year degree in Computer Science / related field. Proven experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience in technical operations systems management
  
  
  • PC hardware, peripheral, and operating systems
  
  
  • Experience with network and server hardware, components, and operating systems


• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis.


• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task well.


• High level customer support, including the ability to discuss solutions in non-technical end-user terminology.


• Expertise in Laptop and Desktop support.


• Experience in process improvement based on evaluating data and measuring efficiency gains.


• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Hardware skills: HP Servers and Computers, HP Printers & Multi-function copiers, Apple Computers/Phones, Audio/Visual devices, Camera/Badging Systems


• Software skills: Microsoft Server and Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Antivirus, Azure/Active Directory, Helpdesk ticketing systems

ADA Requirements:

• Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer


• Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly


• Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently


• Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
