Location: Austin, MN

Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $131,000.00 USD Annually

Description:
This role is for an individual who will serve as an expert in Enterprise Storage and Data Protection system administration. The position requires prior experience in system administration and offers growth opportunities for motivated individuals.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and monitor enterprise storage to meet business requirements.


• Manage physical hardware in corporate data centers.


• Ensure adherence to vendor best practices, security policies, and disaster recovery requirements.


• Collaborate with platform teams on storage lifecycle management.


• Maintain, monitor, and test data protection solutions for business continuity.


• Maintain Cisco MDS Fiber Channel networking environment.


• Forecast and plan for annual expense and capital budgets.


• Research, implement, and maintain system and platform security to ensure environment stability, solve complex computer performance and technical problems, and develop and follow well-documented change control procedures.

The level of the position will be determined based on experience and skillset.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure systems engineering or a related field.


• Desire to learn new technology and manage vendor relationships.


• Proficiency in administration of enterprise physical servers, storage arrays, or data protection.


• Demonstrated initiative and technical innovation, proven problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.


• Ability to work on nights, weekends, holidays for 3rd level support and/or system upgrades in support of Plant downtime availability.


• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Netapp, Dell storage, IBM storage, and Cisco MDS.


• Experience with Rubrik and IBM Storage Protect.


• Strong knowledge of ITS infrastructure and strong troubleshooting experience, including networking and TCP/IP Concepts, server hardware.
