Salary: $30.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly

Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work in Douglas County, CO!



Job Summary:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Your expertise will contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by these conditions.



Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of every treatment/session delivered to students, whether direct or indirect services.


• Document all student services eligible for Medicaid reimbursement if current CCC's (Certificate of Clinical Competence) with ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) are held.

Treatment and Intervention:

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.


• Provide therapy to address speech disorders, language difficulties, and cognitive-communication challenges.


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, counselors, and educators.


• Utilize technology and integrate it into educational activities to enhance learning materials and resources.

Education and Support:

• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies.


• Work collaboratively with professionals from various disciplines.


• Support students with academic challenges, extracurricular activities, and behavioral management within the school environment.

Program Design and Implementation:

• Design Individual Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with evidence-based differentiated and innovative instruction.


• Promote academic growth, positive social relationships, functional communication, and positive behavior for learning.


• Supervise SLP-A's (Speech-Language Pathology Assistants) if current CCC's with ASHA are held.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology (Required).


• Colorado School Speech Language Pathologist License (mandatory).


• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.


• Demonstrated effective case management skills.


• Strong written and oral communication abilities.


• Empathy and understanding necessary for working with students and their families.


• Desire to function as a team member within the educational setting.
