The Opportunity

"We are seeking a highly skilled instructor to specialize in our fraud prevention application at FICO. The role involves equipping fraud analysts and rule developers with essential skills to combat credit card, retail card, and retail banking fraud effectively. Responsibilities include designing and delivering comprehensive training courses for a diverse global audience, covering case management and rule development. Beyond customary training, this role functions as a learning consultant, actively engaging in projects to enhance the learning experience, adapting training to unique client needs. Collaboration with internal teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders is fundamental, contributing not only to fraud prevention training but also to various non-fraud training initiatives. Success in this role relies on acquiring a deep understanding of fraud prevention technologies, emphasizing the candidate's aptitude for learning and dedication to tackling complex information and independent research." - Senior Director, Learning

What You'll Contribute
  • Independently plan, research, and produce comprehensive training materials, including presentations, lab exercises, demonstrations, eLearning modules, and recordings.
  • Create training environments that mirror real-world client and partner experiences with FICO software products.
  • Deliver training courses to clients, partners, and internal audiences virtually or in person.
  • Act as a learning consultant by collaborating on strategic learning projects within the organization, extending influence beyond fraud training to contribute to non-fraud training courses and projects.
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing responsibilities and promoting coordination and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with different departments to develop and deliver software application training, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with client and partner needs.
  • Manage client, partner, and internal engagements by completing pre and post-training tasks, including scheduling and coordinating virtual and on-site courses.
  • Coordinate travel for domestic and international training engagements.
  • Deliver instruction to ESL students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, ensuring their success by addressing language barriers with patience and commitment.

What We're Seeking
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 65% of the time, including weekends and multi-week trips.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BSc/BA Degree) and a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching software applications, with a preferred background in Financial Services and a focus on Fraud Prevention.
  • Proficiency in authoring course materials and delivering training in English, with the ability to develop and deliver training in Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strong ability to establish and nurture internal and external relationships.
  • Rapid comprehension of technical concepts and effective communication.
  • Experience with rapid eLearning development tools, such as Rise and Camtasia, is preferred.
  • Collaborative team player who willingly engages in initiatives and takes proactive actions.
  • Self-driven and motivated to work independently with minimal supervision.
