Position Summary: This position is responsible for accurately creating batches of ingredients to be used in production.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure scale is properly set. 


• Gather supplies (pallets, trays, cans, raw materials, etc.) and bring to ingredient room and/or line.   If run out during shift, gather additional supplies as needed.


• Look at Ingredient Sheet to be used for shift (issued by QA) to determine ingredient usage to make batches.


• Make batches (pre kitting) using the raw materials (measuring ingredients and mixing in buckets).  Create tag and adhere to batch bucket. 


• Deliver batch (in bucket) to deck.  Return to Ingredient Room and begin next batch. 


• As measuring ingredients, document lot numbers and weights of all ingredients used on Ingredient Room Sheet as soon as batch is made.


• Maintain cleanliness of Ingredient Room and surrounding areas. 


• Operate forklift to retrieve raw materials/ingredients as needed. 


• Communicate with Mixer/Maker stepping in at shift change with any issues experienced throughout the shift (as applicable).


• Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.


• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.


• Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.


• Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.

Minimum Experience:

• Forklift experience - Less than 1 year

Skills and Abilities:

• General math skills
