OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and control processes at our aerospace manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of chemical and material processing within the aerospace sector, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role demands strong leadership skills to manage a team of quality professionals and collaborate effectively across departments to achieve operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to Poly6's QMS in support of meeting customer requirements.
  • Review customer flow-down requirements and implement methods to ensure compliance, including that with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to engineering and operations team with respect to quality methods and situational actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to resolve quality issues and optimize production processes.
  • Establish and maintain quality metrics and KPIs to monitor process performance and drive corrective actions as necessary.
  • Lead RCCA activities in response to product, process, and audit non-conformances and customer complaints .
  • Own the development and propagation of a robust culture of quality.
  • Manage customer and regulatory audits, ensuring successful outcomes and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that requirements are communicated, and that materials and services meet requirements.
  • Report on the performance of the quality management system and opportunities for improvement to top management
  • Champion initiatives for cost reduction, waste minimization, and quality enhancement throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Engage with CPP Corporate to identify both areas of synergy and areas where Poly6 can add value to CPP in thought leadership, excellence & innovation.
  • Jointly oversee an annual Operations budget.
  • This is a fully in-person position with the expectation to be physically on-site Monday-Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry and 5+ years' experience; or 10+ years' experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years' quality management experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and implementing corrective actions.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills .
  • Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Self-motivated and experienced in dealing with ambiguity while performing critical project steps.
  • Must be a hands-on team member capable and willing to perform all quality related functions.
  • Strong management & people leadership experience, with ability to communicate across various disciplines .
  • Skills with Microsoft Office, MiniTab , and ERP software .

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years working in a technical manufacturing environment, preferably with Aerospace/AS9100 experience.
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing, materials processing, and/or additive manufacturing.
  • Experience and knowledge in GD&T, MSA and Gage R&R activities.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing audit processes, including customer and regulatory audits.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
