The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) team is looking for an additional Structures Test Lab Manager that is interested in testing and verifying our products to ensure the ultimate safety of our stakeholders in Berkeley, MO. This job requires a determined commitment to both iterative and step-function change that will drive increased quality, efficiency, and schedule performance. The ideal candidate is able to focus on and understand the key problems and lead the team to innovate and solve the root causes.

This position would be in charge of the structural test labs working in conjunction with the existing manager.

Occasional domestic and/or international travel up to 10% may be required to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience with testing, writing test plans, conducting tests, and writing test reports
  • Experience with program management / project management
  • Experience managing or leading people or teams
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally to support customer needs


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Experience and knowledge of Hydraulic Systems, Actuation and Controls
  • Experience in a lab environment with data acquisition systems and hydraulic control software
  • Experience in aircraft structures testing

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $129,200 - $174,800
