Job Description:

Job Summary As the Plating Manager you will direct and coordinates activities of production in Plating, Mass Finishing, in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization either personally or through subordinate supervisors. Job Responsibilities Must possess a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root cause analysis, and International Quality Standards. Responsible for maintaining and updating the data driven process control system utilizing various statistical techniques. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Required to maintain and identify legal requirements and governmental reporting regulations affecting Environmental issues ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting follow local, state, and federal agencies. Responsible for the development and implementation of sound cost analysis methods Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet in house and customer specifications. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and monitors workers to ensure compliance with standards. Possess strong technical skills in Chemistry, Physics, Thermodynamics, and basic AC/DC electric circuits. A working knowledge of equipment design, construction, operation, and maintenance is helpful. Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests. Conduct needs analysis studies and confers with supervisors to determine training needs. Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested. Implements employee training, written operating procedures, process validation, workmanship criteria and compliance with all customers (internal and external) required standards and specifications. Will provide technical expertise for all production areas regarding proper chemical hygiene and related safety work practices. Periodically auditing their operations for program effectiveness Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices. Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering or Related Degree 1 to 2 years related experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead. Must be able to lift and carry 0-50lbs. frequently Knowledge: English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
