Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is growing! We are seeking a dynamic, quality-oriented Construction Superintendent to join our expanding construction business line. This role entails scheduling, subcontractor management, communication with the client, assessments, activity-specific education, and quality assurance.

The initial project will be based out of Oscoda, MI and at other active and closed military installations throughout the country so we will consider all applicants who are located within the United States that are willing to travel.


Typical Projects


Typical projects include the construction, renovation, or demolition of multiple structure types at active or former military installations. Projects may include stormwater infrastructure repair and construction, water line repair and construction, groundwater extraction systems construction, demolition of multi-use buildings, military housing and offices, and overseeing large compact soil excavations.


Responsibilities

  • Dual hat role of Site Supervisor/Quality Assurance
  • Responsible for quality and production of work and conformance to contract documents.
  • Manage/maintain all necessary planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting for project activities.
  • Coordinate/communicate with the Project Manager daily.
  • Develop and submit daily quality control reports.
  • Manage multiple on-site subcontractors, including mechanical, electrical, and equipment controls.
  • Manage field staff in coordination with the Site Safety and Health Officer
  • Manage/maintain weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Review subcontractor's scope of work and project invoices to ensure work products are in compliance with subcontracts.
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the Baseline Project Schedule. Provide input on dates, durations, and coordination, monthly.
  • Prepare short-term detailed look-ahead schedules weekly.
  • Request, prepare, and hold coordination meetings as necessary to support the Project Schedule.
  • Coordinate with the Subcontractors and Owner for progress billing, monthly.
  • Oversee quality control, make red-line mark-ups for as-built drawings, and work closely with project engineers to approve design changes during construction.
  • Manage deliveries, staging, loading, and unloading.
  • Supervise equipment usage on site, such as cranes or earth-moving equipment.
  • Ensure project conformance to national and/or local building codes.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have significant supervisory experience in water treatment plants, either municipal drinking water or environmental groundwater pump and treat systems.
  • Experience managing USACE (United state Army Corps of Engineers) Projects in a Dual hat role of Site Supervisor/Quality Assurance
  • 5 years of experience on similar projects, building demolition, renovation and/or new construction.
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
  • OSHA 30hr.
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Experience with RMS.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.

Physical Requirements


This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions


Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.


Compensation


$120,000 - $150,000 yearly depending on experience.
