About the Team

The Service Health team plays a key role in ensuring Workday technical teams have accurate real-time and historical visibility into the health of application services.

About the Role

We are looking for a hard-working individual to innovate and scale creative solutions that will enhance visibility into the health and performance of our applications and services. You will identify key application metrics, data sources, workflows, and overall system design to define and implement an SLO based view of the customer experience. You will partner with software engineers, technical operations, and architecture to build solutions.

Your goal will be to increase visibility into not only the health and performance of our customer's experience, but also to provide data, insights, and workflows to facilitate fast root cause analysis and mitigation of customer impacting issues.

In this position, you will have a critical role collaborating and problem solving not only with our team, but with a variety of teams in our development organization to improve the reliability of our services.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of experience in distributed software design & development experience

  • 4+ years of strong Scripting Skills (Python)

  • 4+ years of experience with at least one commonly available enterprise logging and monitoring solution

  • 4+ years of experience in basic SQL, bash and data analysis

Other Qualifications


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate on technical design sessions across various product teams

  • Experience working in an Agile team

  • Can work independently and with the attitude that everything can be automated

  • Excited by working in a fast-paced environment


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $111,600 USD - $167,400 USD


Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $106,000 USD - $189,000 USD
