Qualifications:
One (I) year experience in public education or related field
High School Diploma or GED
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred
Advanced computer/typing skills-MS Office/Google
Ability to carry out advanced verbal and written directives
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with confidential information
Ability to prepare correspondence independently

Physical Demands:
Ability to reach above and below the waist

Some stooping, bending and twisting of the body required
Ability to lift/and or carry supplies and/or papers weighing more than 20 pounds.
Ability to sit, walk, stand or move throughout the building, often for extended periods of the workday.
Sufficient hand/eye coordination to operate keyboard
Sufficient visual acuity to recognize words, letters and numbers
Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone
Essential Functions:
Provide office and clerical support to assist with the efficient operation of the school district
Ensure that all activities conform to district guidelines
Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community
React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
Appropriately operate all equipment as required
Support the value of an education
Support the philosophy and vision of TASD
Performance Responsibilities:
Screen visitors and telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person/department
Screen and route incoming mail and email
Compose, type and copy correspondence, reports, bulletins, records and other materials
Obtain, gather and organize pertinent data as needed
Provide payroll data to the business office as scheduled
Maintain an orderly filing system
Assist in planning meetings agendas and in preparing meeting summaries
Maintain accurate student attendance records and report attendance problems to the principal
Call parents to confirm attendance
Distribute office passes and notes as directed
Maintain an accurate inventory of student books and teacher materials
Order, receive and distribute supplies
Place orders for materials, verify quantities delivered and distribute to staff
Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques
Administer first aid and/or medication to students in the absence of the school health aide according to school policy
Adhere to all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan
Other duties as assigned by the principal or lead secretary
