Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organization's ongoing operations and procedures. The COO role is a key member of our senior management team, reporting to the President and CFO. The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare or homecare experience, preferably with exposure to Medicaid.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures to drive company growth, including but not limited to payor selection, caregiver recruitment and retention, expansion, etc.
Oversee daily operations of the company and work with internal and external teams (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.) to drive company performance.
Ability to maintain relations with referral sources and actively seek to establish new referral sources, including expansion into VA and Private Pay.
Foster a positive work culture and align incentives to recruit and retain quality caregivers and provide outstanding client care.
A Data-driven management approach focused on monitoring, reporting, and measuring company performance against KPIs.
Monitor legislation, industry regulations, and payor rates to identify potential risks and opportunities. Develop a view on the same to drive growth and risk mitigation efforts.
Maintain open communication with stakeholders and foster collaboration between departments, staff leadership, and other services to support improvements in client outcomes.
Support departments in maintaining regulatory compliance under standards set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
Analyze budgets and financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings
Be a culture carrier for the in office and remote workforce of caregivers
Assist the management team with organic and inorganic growth strategy
Qualifications:
Strong track record as Chief Operating Office or as Director of Operations in Home Care Services.
Prior experience with Medicaid Waiver is an asset, and prior experience with Private Pay is a plus.
+5 years of management experience in the Home Care Services industry
Experience working with payors in the home care industry with a particular emphasis on the Medicaid Waiver program.
Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Bachelor's degree; MBA or prior experience as HHA/PCA a plus
