1.Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
Use tax software with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, Microsoft Office and Intuit QuickBooks
Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments
2. Apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to clients
3. Identify where current issues may impact a client and recommend strategies
4. Prepare various tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate
5. Manage work effectively with others while managing client relationships
6. Maintain superior attention to detail
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA (Preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience in a CPA firm with 2 years of supervisory experience
- Responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements
- Ability to plan the timing and assigning of staff to engagements
- Experience in reviewing engagement work papers, resolving any problems, and keeping the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement
- Experience in supervising staff accountants, providing feedback to them, and evaluating their progress
- Ability to become an expert in assigned areas
- Ability to recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and efficiencies within the workplace
