POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Individual Giving Manager

As the?official philanthropic and collaborative?partner of Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon Conservancy's mission is to inspire?generations of park champions to?cherish and?support the natural and cultural wonder of the Grand Canyon. GCC raises private funds, operates retail shops within the park, and provides premier educational programs about the natural and cultural history of the region.

Grand Canyon Conservancy (GCC) is seeking an Individual Giving Manager who will manage a portfolio of prospects, driving the identification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies to secure gifts of $10,000 or more while growing the Grand Guardians program for donors of $1,000-$20,000. Operating independently and in collaboration with GCC's Philanthropy Operations Team, this individual will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying new prospects, actively soliciting and stewarding existing donors, and ensuring the achievement of specific fundraising targets.

The Individual Giving Manager is a remote (within a five-hour drive from the South Rim), benefit-eligible, full-time, exempt position that reports to the Senior Philanthropy Officer, Individual Giving.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed below:
• Effectively manages, solicits, cultivates, and grows a portfolio of individual donors with the capacity to make gifts of $10K+ while developing engagement, solicitation, and retention strategies to annually grow and upgrade donors in the Grand Guardians Program (donors of $1,000-$20,000).
• Collaborate with team members to engage mid-level donors to ensure a consistent pipeline of major gift prospects
• Maximize fundraising capacity in the region through strong networking and engaging activities
• Collaborate with team members to manage constituent information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Conducts donor discovery, cultivation, and solicitation visits with prospects and donors, aiming for 10-12 visits/meaningful interactions each month
• Work closely with the philanthropy team to identify GCC's priorities and engage donors and prospects through outreach and activities
• Quickly respond to donor requests through written correspondence, telephone contact, personal visits, and e-mail
• Plan and coordinate donor events to identify new prospects and cultivate existing donors with the assistance of the Philanthropy and Event teams
• Employ a growth mindset and contribute to a culture of philanthropy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree or significant professional experience in a related field
• Three to five years of frontline fundraising or experience working one-on-one with individuals to build meaningful relationships
• Valid Drivers license with the ability to travel approximately 30% to 40% of the time within Northern Arizona and beyond for strategic meetings and events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND CHARACTERISTICS
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team of highly enthusiastic, dedicated people focused on engaging donors, prospects, and partners in the vital work of our organization
• Ability to maintain confidential donor and management information
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Performs approximately 60% to 70% of job duties in an office setting, working with a computer and with colleagues
• Ability to travel without assistance approximately 30% to 40% of the time
• May occasionally work more than 40 hours per week or on weekends and holidays to meet critical deadlines and to attend special functions

TOTAL COMPENSATION

GCC provides a comprehensive benefits package including vacation and holiday pay, sick leave, Canyon Experience Days, employer-supplemented health benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and health savings account (HSA) plan, employer-paid long-term disability, and life insurance, employer-paid 401(k) retirement plan, and discounts in our retail stores and Grand Canyon Conservancy Field Institute offerings. The hiring salary range for the position is $74,000 to $78,000 annually.
