Position Summary
We're seeking a full-time Senior Buyer for our Los Angeles-based corporate office.
The Senior Buyer for women's apparel will be responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items. You will work cross-functionally with the creative team and will have the opportunity to launch new categories and extend product lines. You will also be a mentor and provide guidance to the Assistant Buyers. Our ideal candidate is fluent in the latest trends and hyper-aware of top brands in the women's apparel category.
Job Responsibilities
Understand the target audience thoroughly and consistently curate products that align with our customer base
Establish and maintain close relationships with vendors, scheduling regular meetings to ensure access to the latest samples
Provide clear brand strategy guidance to vendors and offer timely design direction to ensure product offerings are in line with current market trends
Set and achieve monthly goals for the creation of new styles, demonstrating a proactive approach to product development
Make informed decisions regarding product or fabric adjustments to ensure styles meet quality standards and resonate with our customer base
Conduct comprehensive research to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in fabrics, incorporating this knowledge into purchasing decisions
Review and approve samples produced by the production team, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency
Provide leadership and guidance to the buying team, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with company objectives
Facilitate weekly sales meetings with the team to discuss performance, share insights, and strategize for future success
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Proven experience in apparel buying, with a focus on understanding customer preferences and market trends
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed buying decisions
Pay
$69,805.00 min. - $105,200.00 max annually. Bonus offered.
