Job Description:
Medical Claims adjuster position available in the Birmingham, Alabama area. This is an excellent opportunity with a reputable company.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assigned medical only Workers Compensation claims for monitoring and administering benefits pursuant to applicable laws and standards.
- Occasionally administer and issue TTD of a week or less if owed.
- Communicate effectively with members, claimants, and medical providers.
- Effectively monitor the day-to-day evolving status of ongoing claims.
- Manage claim files and documentation of all claim activities.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Alabama Workers Compensation Claim handling.
- Knowledge of applicable laws.
- Six months to one year of experience in a similar position.
