Job Description:
Executive Underwriter, Middle MarketFull Time
Salary range: $120-160K + bonus
Position can sit remote in Chicago, Minnesota or Kansas City area.Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead underwriting contact for the region
- Handle book of new & renewal business focused in the manufacturing, retail, wholesale, hospitality, and commercial real estate industries
- Meet profitability, retention and premium goals
- Make decisions independently within letter of authority and maintain proper file documentation
- Meet with assigned agents/producers in territory, drive new business growth and develop annual business goals for assigned agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience in a production underwriting role
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, Automobile and Umbrella lines of business
- Experience with manufacturing, retail, wholesale, hospitality, and commercial real estate industries
- Possess strong established relationships with retail agencies in the Midwest to help drive new business growth in the territory
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook and content management software systems (ImageRight preferred)
- Insurance Industry Designations (preferred)
